Hovik and the team
Who we are
Hovik Akopyan is the person behind HYE LYF. We are based in Southern California and work in Southern California and surrounding areas. Between Hovik and our team, we have over 30 years of combined experience running, building and operating. We work with facility owners, landlords, license holders and operators.
Cultivation and consulting
What we are hired for
Our lead work is helping save failing grows: finding the problems and the levers that can make them produce more. That describes the work, not a promised result. Our team works inside your licensed facility, under your license, as your cultivation team. We also consult on growing, building, cultivation layout, setup and operations. Depending on what the owner needs and what we agree, HYE LYF can take over the grow, the building, the operations, or the licensed business itself. We also buy and lease cultivation buildings with our own money.
- Cultivation workflow review, crop cycle planning and SOP development support.
- Facility readiness review, equipment gap review and restart planning.
- Daily workflow planning, team coordination and reporting structure.
Clear responsibilities
How we work inside a licensed facility
The harvest stays the license holder's and is sold through the license holder's own licensed channels. HYE LYF never buys, sells or brokers cannabis. Any licensed cannabis activity is carried out by properly licensed parties and is subject to state and local law.
- We find the climate problem and spec the fix; licensed contractors install and service equipment.
- We plan and sequence the build-out and coordinate vendors. Build-outs are done by Akopi Builders, CSLB #1112420.
- Our design work is cultivation layout and setup planning. Stamped plans come from licensed engineers and architects.
For hire, not a license holder
What we are not
HYE LYF does not hold a cannabis license. We are not a retail brand or a dispensary. We sell no cannabis. We are for-hire cultivators and consultants, not licensed owners. Our cultivation team works under the client's license, not on our own account.
